A few things to report...
A long weekend which is nice, though I have been struck down with a fairly mild flu which is not so nice. Grace is also a tad ill. I have begun my Nature's Cure All of eating raw shallots and garlic, breathing in a healing potion, salt water up the noise and tons of vitamins to kill the lurgy.
Just downloaded a new game. Total War Napoleon. Looks like great fun - and probably of interest to some here if you have time.
The boys (Patrick, Tom, Danny and Chris) have headed up to Ao Nang for some laughs. I am fine at home and it is very comfy here mooching about.
Acquired a truly excellent 4 part series from Aus. called Battleships. Fantastic documentation of its history including the Dreadnoughts of WWI. A terrible story of empire building.
Now downloading some of the Battlefields series including Manchuria and Italy, where dad was.

Movie Night Returns
After long debate and cross checking movie night shall return after an absence of more than a year, possibely two, I really can't remember.
The invited guests are Don, Tom and Patrick, with a possible opening for a weekly guest or two.
Don sadly is away in Canada after losing his job and having nothing to do. He'll be back real soon.
Lee is sadly not invited as he appears most unfriendly.
From now on my daytime thoughts will be plagued by which movie to play, especially with a hardcire Aussie ion the audience who hates everything.
I couldn't believe it. He hates Excaliber. But then, when I re-watched it, I turned it off

Update
Been a while since I blogged it. Didn't feel the urge.
Anyway, what's new?
Well, I have been chilling out quite a lot. Relaxing in the garden, on the PC, drinking coffee, seeing the boys on the weekend and stuff like that.
School is going very well.
Grace is the real star. She's just so sweet right now as her personality develops. She has lots of fun and is a very happy little girl.

Home Alone II - Fear and Loathing
Oi called up yesterday morning and announced she was coming home.
"No way!" I exclaimed, "You've only been gone a day!"
Grace has been crying in the evening, but very happy during the day up at the farm.
I told her to give it a few days and relax with her family. I didn't want her coming home and getting bored and not smiling again in a few days. I think she has taken the hint.
Life alone has been okay so far. Tom has kept me good company and Don is coming around for a Saturday morning coffee. We both wake up excruciatingly early so at least we can hook up in the early morn amicably.
So in my time alone at the house I have been relaxing outside and I had another quick go on Grand Theft Auto 4, which although amazing, still cannot have me reaching for the quit key after fifteen minutes or so.
I have sat through a few good movies uninterrupted though;
Crossing Over (Harrison Ford) - immigration officer in LA - not bad
Disgrace - John Malkavich in South Africa and very weird and awesome. Recommended.
The Road - Way too depressing. Avoid.
I Love You Phillip Morris - Very funny but I switched off when Ewwwwan McGregor came on.
In the Electric Mist - Tommy Lee Jones in a great detective story way on down in the Deep South Louisiana. Excellent.
These days it is exercise and keeping myself alive which are in my foremost thoughts. That's not when I am enjoying a beer and doing nothing.

Home Alone
Oi and Grace have gone with Grandma to Chum Pon, leaving me to....
Party!
I sat in the garden for an hour feeling a bit glum not really knowing what to do, stay at home or make a call.
I made a call and shot round to Don's. Tom joined and after a bit we headed back out my way to the famous Som Tam restaurant where we enjoyed Grilled Pork and Chicken, Som Tam with sticky rice and sauces. Tom and I had beer while Don drank a soda. Then we came back to mine for a few more beers, happiness and we watched "Ghengis Blues" which is awesome.
I passed out at some point.
I have invited Tom over again, maybe to watch Brooklyn's Finest which is just so awesome.
My phone is broken so incoming calls from Oi are not really happening. I suppose tomorrow I will have to fork out for some cheapie phone to tide me over.
School is sweet and I have given them a test on what we have done since starting in May. Doing tests is easy on the body so can take a rest.
I have been doing some yoga today and some gardening. Solitary, soothing pursuits.
