I have just been watching a series I downloaded called "The Beauty of Maps." Fasinating to watch and highly absorbing. There are four parts, the last part dealing with Fred Rose's cartoon political maps of the 1800's. Here are a couple of examples. This style can also be scene in the movie, "The Charge of the Light Brigade" where the great Russian bear is animated. Enjoy.
