Today, I met Jonathan at his workplace in Greatham. A deathly quiet and sterile architects office in the middle of glorious countryside. We made a quick exit and headed for the hills around Empshott. It was like Summer, so hot and not a cloud in the sky. The green fields, oaks, and woodlands were at their best and Jonathan immediately launched into discussion covering such subjects as; Viz, Portugal, his children now grown, walking, how he lost his hair, a ton of relatives who had passed on, free bus passes, Portsmouth and a host of others. I am pleased to report Winkles Patch Chinese Film Club is still in operation with Jonathan as President.
It was great to see him and just like old times. He retires in 2 years and is looking forward to uninterrupted walking.
